The Digital Future

In this advance technology era, changing nature of media and the way in which we access information is different compare the previous way we did. People needs accurate information is a fastest way.

Nowadays, we can easily get information anytime and anywhere and it makes more convenience for those who live busy city life.People may now obtain news directly from Internet without any filtering from publishers, editors or journalists (IWR 2006).

Interactivity is the important thing in terms of development of new media. We use advance technology to keep in touch with people who are busy or far away. Internet is one of the device that connect with each others and fast response as well.

Approach which was using for traditional media such as gatekeepers has no longer suitable in this society. According to Nigel Paine, traditional media has to work with the changes, not against the changes, and hope for new potential contributors.

In the new age, there are 39 and a half thousand television stations in the world, so there's a lot more and 60% of those produce original content. In other words, it will become increasing important is the concept of user-generated content. Nigel Paine also says that new media is about co-creation, sharing and engage as well.
