The politics campaign did by Obama was the smartest publicity siege that's been seen in a long time. We can't denied that the media has a big influence if you use it in a smart way of it. It's particularly worth paying attention to how Obama and his crew of merry techstres pay attention to the net.
There are two articles talks about how political campaigns used new media to win supporters in election (e.g. Obama, PAS). It shows that Malaysia' digital revolution and Obama uses iphone to win support. Although, issues using the new media that affects politicians such as no privacy and no trust in them (e.g. Youtube, Blogs). A key medium in spreading all kinds of information (Obama states this tool is designed to help you become more directly involved in the campaign to change the country).It relates to the concepts of Naughton (2006) personalization and interactivity and 'push and pull' medium.
